Motorola Roadmap - 7 leaked phones
Written by Meraj Chhaya on April 23, 2008 – 11:54 pm
After Motorola’s turbulent split from it’s handset division, it has leaked some important upcoming devices. Some of the phones in the above image are already known, but you can catch the unreleased devices after the jump.
- Motorola A810
- Motorola VE75
- Motorola A1600 MING
- Motorola A1800 MING
- Motorola ZN5
- Motorola ROKR E10
We have discussed the ROKR E10 in a previous post, so we can scratch it out for now and head for the other five devices.
The A810 had been leaked quite some time now, but the specifications I only managed to gather now, which are:
- 2.2″ QVGA resolution display with 262k TFT
- 2 megapixel camera
- 200 MHz TI OMAP850 processor
- Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP
- FM Radio
- USB 2.0
- 3.5mm jack
- microSD slot
- Dimensions: 104.85 x 50.8 x 13.5mm
- Weight: 100g
- Touchscreen
- Runs on Linux Operating System
The Motorola VE75 is a dual-SIM phone and features:
- 2.6″ WQVGA resolution (240 x 400 pixels), it’s Widescreen and contains 262k colours
- 2 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth
- Dimensions: 110 x 50 x 18.9mm
- Weight: 120g
The Motorola A1600 MING seems to be one of the best in Motorola’s mind right now, as it portrays:
- Quad-band EDGE
- Touchscreen
- 3 megapixel camera with autofocus
- GPS
- WLAN
- Dimensions: 98.5 x 53.4 x 19.50mm
- Weight: 120g
The Motorola A1800 MING is somewhat quite close to the A1600, although it supports CDMA networks. It features:
- 2.4″ QVGA display with 262k colours, which is also a touchscreen
- GPS
- 3 megapixel camera with autofocus
- Bluetooth
- Dimensions: 95.3 x 52.5 x 24.95mm
- Weight: 132g
The only breakthrough in this phone is the TD-SCDMA network capability, which tells us that the phone is mainly directed for China. The features are the following:
- 1.9″ display with 176 x 220 pixels of resolution
- 2 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth
- Dimensions: 49 x 112 x 15mm
- Weight: 110g
The ZN5 is the most awaited device from Motorola as it might be the best of them all. The reason being is that it has been rumoured that it will have some type of involvement from Kodak in the camera. There was a contract between Motorola and Kodak, but we haven’t heard anything else.
What we surely know about the ZN5 is the following:
- 2.4″ QVGA resolution display
- 500MHz Freescale SCMA11 processor
- Bluetooth
- TV-Out
- Montavista Linux 2.6.1 OS
