As you know, on the 17th of June Sony Ericsson released few bluetooth headsets and mobile phones at CommunicAsia. Here are the items that were released, and our coverage links:

7 new phones:

  • C905 (specifications, video, image samples, official release and date, review)
  • F305 (rumour, leaked specifications, official release and date)
  • G700 Business Edition
  • J121
  • J132 (official release and specifications)
  • K330 (official release and specifications)
  • S302 (leaked specifications, official release and specifications)
  • 7 New accessories:

  • CBC-100
  • CPP-100
  • ITC-60
  • BST-42
  • HBH-PV715
  • HBH-PV720
  • HBH-PV740
  • Mobile Broadband:

  • MD400
  • MD400gWe don’t usually cover mobile accessories that much or mobile broadband modems. We didn’t speak about the G700 Business Edition as there seem to be no differences between the original G700, and we didn’t report about the J121 as it simply is a reduced feature phone when compared to the J123.

    Sony Ericsson P10 coming soon?

Written by Meraj Chhaya on June 20, 2008 – 10:21 pm

It seems that Sony Ericsson mistakenly aired one of their specifications’ webpage, and it was from the Sony Ericsson P10. No other specification page is up, besides this one. You might not see much, in the afternoon it was a specifications template page, and now in a rush the team behind the website just deleted code from the page. You can tell that by trying other numbers, such as P5 instead of P10 in the address bar, and it will show a 404 error (page not found).

A P10 will certainly be out sometime in the next few years…or the website team is just a bit lost, which I don’t think so. Rather weird how a P10 page get’s aired before a P5i page…

The image above isn’t a fake Sony Ericsson or a concept, but it’s actually a modified Soduku device, and it was assembled back in 2006.

    BlackBerry Javelin leak, release date

Written by Meraj Chhaya on June 20, 2008 – 9:32 pm

BlackBerry has been consistently leaking prototype images, everything from this week’s 9100 kickstart clamshell to the BlackBerry 9000 Bold. They surely need attention due to the recent releases by Apple (iPhone 3G), Nokia (E71), and HTC (Touch Diamond).

I’m not a BlackBerry lover, but if you are one, tell us what you think of it! Besides the pictures, there is a video.

Oh, and according to the source, it should be released by mid-2009, that’s Q2 or Q3 of 2009, still far away…

Written by Meraj Chhaya on June 20, 2008 – 5:08 pm

Knowing which company builds what on your phone brings assurance to the consumer, as you will have confidence on the manufacturer, although sometimes it turns out the opposite way.

Problems with the first iPhone’s touchscreen have made consumers wonder who actually builds it, although Apple never discloses much information. Below is a table of who builds what components on the iPhone.
