I was checking my balance on Vodacom’s website when I noticed this campaign for the iPhone 3G. Really clever marketing plan, they are already taking pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 3G here in South Africa, and even differentiating between contracts. But one thing people didn’t know: the Apple iPhone 3G might be available in prepaid, that means, no contracts.

HTC’s share price fell sharply post the Apple iPhone 3G launch, while Nokia and RIM, competitors of Apple, moved higher. The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc published a report where it believes that this is due to a misperception towards HTC, as the Touch Diamond enjoys better features than the iPhone 3G.
