How to install a touchscreen on the N95
Written by Meraj Chhaya on July 17, 2008 – 1:13 pm
I was quite intrigued when I saw this video, I really didn't know what to say. I see a touchscreen N95 on YouTube some time ago, but it never came back, we never heard about it or see another video. This time Sittiphol Phanvilai, the famous MobiTubia developer, threw this to us: A touchscreen N95. Was it real? Was it fake? How on earth did he do it???
I didn't published this post unless I had an answer, but as promised, he revealed his secret. In my opinion, if installing touchscreen on S60 devices becomes commercialized, this guy could make tons of cash. Only problem is really to incorporate touchscreen functionality on S60 devices. Even though this phones are advanced, they are not configured to run with pointers, such as a mouse or in this case, a touchscreen. I would pay just to have touchscreen for one program, such as a Canola Media Player for N95, and the web browser.
Please share your fantasies on what you would like to do most with a touchscreen for your phone. The video after the break.
