BlackBerry Thunder/Storm far from ready?

blackberry-thunder-ui-screenshots-300x163 BlackBerry Thunder/Storm far from ready? There’s been a name fight going on between Boy Genius Report and Gizmodo. BGR says it’s Thunder, while Giz says it’s Storm. Crackberry’s informers agree on the Thunder name as well.

From what we are hearing, the BlackBerry Thunder might just in the early prototype stages, as some of its most interesting features have become its weakness, that is, on the leaked world:

The Thunder has a localised haptic multitouch touchscreen, which means that it’s like a button, and when you click on a certain are of the display, it feels like a key. Unfortunately, BGR says that the screen “ripples” at the slight touch, which means that it should still be going under testing for perfection. Another concern is the accelerometer, what we know as the motion sensor. As soon as you tilt the screen, the device goes “bonkers”. A software issue is the lag of the respose, but apparently, the Thunder is in its final software build, which is somehow hard to believe.

Going back to the advantages, the display can be used as a keyboard in landscape mode, and 360×480 pixels or resolution. The Blackberry Thunder should release on Verizon on November, and that’s four whole months to fix up the damages.
