BlackBerry Bold, Javelin, 8220 Pearl comparison

Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 11:37 pm

blackberry-bold-blackberry-javelin-blackberry-8220-pearl-kickstart-packet-of-cigaretts-300x242 BlackBerry Bold, Javelin, 8220 Pearl comparisonFinally we have a comparison of RIM’s most awaited smartphones, except Thunder or Storm. The BlackBerry Bold, which is already available, has been compared to the BlackBerry Javelin, which there is little information but we can see that it’s a tiny phone, as well as to BlackBerry 8220 Pearl, which has been leaked over and over again, and was supposed to be called the Kickstart, and as you ca see, it’s freaking huge!

The Javelin is rumoured not to have 3G and slightly slower processor than the Bold. The packet of cigarrets might help you do the comparison.

Review: Aliph (New) Jawbone 2

Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 4:26 pm

jawbone-noiseassassin-21-800x600-300x225 Review: Aliph (New) Jawbone 2I’m not a fan of Bluetooth headsets. It’s not because they are small, and that I couldn’t find it just before I started to write this review, but because they are simply annoying: I have to keep on adjusting them, they irritate my ear, and I’m always scared of loosing them, and yes, because they are way too small!

I like to have a phone attached to my ear when I’m in a telephonic call, thank you very much, doesn’t matter how stylish the Jawbone looks. But for some people, it’s different, for them, it’s earwear, part of their clothing, and very important.

Sony Ericsson Kumiko & Eian coming soon

Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 2:16 am

sony-ericsson-g705-codenamed-kumiko-5-300x225 Sony Ericsson Kumiko & Eian coming soonRumours have been flying around regarding the announcement of the Sony Ericsson phones codenamed Eian, and Kumiko. They are both recognized as “square-ish” phones.

We do have images of the Kumiko, which is a slider which might be named G705, feature a 3.2 megapixel camera and flash, a 2.4″ display with QVGA resolution (240×320 pixels) and 262k colours, accelerometer (motion sensor), built-in GPS, WiFi, support for m2 memory cards, but it will run on a Java Operating System.

Kumiko really has a sexy design, although I’m not sure if it will be nice to type with, we’ll have to wait for it to be officially announced and get our hands-on.

Eian is rumoured to be a Walkman version of Kumiko, maybe a W705.

More pictures after the jump.

Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot review - Index

Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 12:11 am

sony-ericsson-k850i-cyber-shot-46-300x248 Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot review - IndexThe K850i is the best phone that we’ve reviewed from this manufacturer. With a 5 megapixel camera with Autofocus, Xenon flash, 3x LED flash, electronic camera lens cover, HSDPA, Bluetooth, multitasking software, and an accelerometer (motion sensor,) we were curious to see how it handled. Now that we had the opportunity to put the K850i to the test, go ahead and read our reaction and verdict, because not all glitters is gold (only sometimes).

N82 vs N95 vs K850i vs G800 - Conclusion & Pics

Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 12:11 am

03072008658-800x6001-300x150 N82 vs N95 vs K850i vs G800 - Conclusion & PicsWe conducted the comparison review between the Nokia N82, N95, Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot, and the Samsung SGH-G800 to find out which phone has the best camera. We decided not to just do that, as not everyone will just use the camera, and our readers will want to know which is the best PHONE to use.

We started off with the box, where the K850i took advantage for the simplest and most creative retail package presentation, but both NSeries boxes stood in last place for using the same boring design.

We battled the N82 against the K850i as they both are candybar in form factor, where the K850i won our choice for its details all over the place, which are quite innovative I must say. On the sliders side, the N95 did better than the G800 for its camera keys and keypad in general, especially for not being a one-piece material  keypad such as the G800 one.
