After numerous leaked videos, materials, and even secretive launch pictures, the BlackBerry Storm is official in Vodafone, Telus, and Verizon Wireless network operators.
The press release wasn't enough to entertain the public. Vodafone published images of the Storm 9500 mobile phone with screenshots of the iPhone's interface. If this was on purpose or not, we will never know. Both Engadget and Gizmodo had their hands-on the phone, and the pictures point out that the phone might be just a bit too obese.
The official specifications of the phone state that the phone will feature a 3.25" display with button-like feedback, with 480 x 360 pixels of resolution. A 3.5mm is present, as well as Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G HSDPA, and DMA/EV-DO Rev. A, microUSB port, and accelerometer (motion sensor). The Storm will be shipped with a built-in GPS receiver, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus.
Size might be a problem, but we are looking forward to test the phone, especially the touchscreen, which is said to be working perfectly, unlike previous reports.
