More pictures of Sony Ericsson Rika surface
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 30, 2008 – 5:16 pm
Following an earlier leak of the Sony Erisson Walkman slider codenamed Rika, two new pictures which portray the phone in red, have surfaced. Rika is said to be the Walkman version of the Sony Ericsson G705.
The features are currently unknown to us, but we can deduce 3G from the front camera, and we can also see a near-flat keypad on the device.

LG KC780 first press image leak
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 29, 2008 – 7:37 pm
LG’s second 8 megapixel camera-phone, the KC780, has leaked the first press image, which shows a stylish slider lying on a professional camera lens.
The KC780 is said to the the slimmest phone in its category, which means that it should be less than 13.8mm, which is the thickness of the Samsung M8800 Pixon. Besides the capture resolution of the camera, 30fps recording is said to be enabled, as well as Quad-band GSM connectivity support.
Furthermore, our source has stated that a new LG will debut tomorrow, which will revolutionize the market for being the most affordable touchscreen phone yet.
The few first 8 megapixel camera-phones haven’t been released to the market yet, but manufacturers are taking competition seriously and announcing even more variety of devices. Variety is good as long as it does not confuse the consumer.

BlackBerry Storm pays a visit to Vodafone’s site
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 29, 2008 – 5:54 pm
The BlackBerry Storm 9500, a varient to the 9530 that has leaked in the US, has appeared on the Vodafone Germany website, and many screenshots of the phone have surfaced on a website dedicated to the phone as well.
The BlackBerry Storm will be RIM’s first touchscreen device, and will feature a 3.3” touchscreen with 360×480 pixels of resolution, Tri-band HSDPA, Quad-band GSM connectivity, built-in A-GPS, microSD memory card support, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi, and will run on BlackBerry OS with 624 MHz CPU speed and 192MB of RAM to power it.
It is necessary to make an entry on the touchscreen market from all manufacturers and all market levels. Touch is said to the future of mobile, which I agree with, and more interactive interfaces are needed for phones to feel more natural to consumers, and not as technological bricks.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 (Javelin) in the wild
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 25, 2008 – 7:14 pm
Three BlackBerry Javelin 8900, now named Curve 8900, have been spotted at an airport by CrackBerry author Kevin Michaluk. A French variant with an AZERTY keyboard was present between the normal QWERTY keyboards-bearing 8900.
The Curve 8900 is known as the Bold 9000’s mini version, with all the style, but only few features missing. The phone features a 512MHz processor, microSD memory card slot, a display with 480×360 pixels of resolution, and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
The Javelin should be the more-affordable version of the Bold, and it should appeal to the businessman who is used to BlackBerry phones, and wants something more comfortable, especially to use as a second phone.
