Review: LG HFB-500 Bluetooth Solar car kit
Written by Meraj Chhaya on October 1, 2008 – 11:02 am
Bluetooth car kits were known to us as simple devices that needed professional installation for them to work flawlessly. We have one in our car, the CK-1W and the only thing we see is a small controller with a single button, next to the gear lever.
Car kits are the alternative to Bluetooth headsets, if you don’t want a piece of electronics hanging from your ear, you can opt for these devices that are installed in the car, and virtually need no human interaction, besides the set-up.
The reason solar energy is getting more popular every day is due to the costs of regular energy, which actually has to be bought, such as fuel for your car, the battery for the car, or coal for a generator. Unlike the latter ones, solar energy is free (and we hope it continues that way).

LG introduces entry-level touchscreen phone
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 30, 2008 – 5:28 pm
LG Electronics has introduced the KP500, an affordable mobile phone with a touchscreen display. The company’s success has persuaded the release of touchscreen-bearing phones into every level of the mobile market.
The KP500 will be a slim-profiled (106.5 x 55.4 x 11.9 mm) and lightweight device (89g) and will come in the Vandyke brown, Anodizing silver, and Elegant gold colours. The phone will feature a 3″ touchscreen display with 240×400 pixels of resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 39 languages, on-screen QWERTY keyboard, accelerometer (motion sensor), Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.
LG is betting in the market where all manufacturers should be betting right now, but none of them does. The manufacturer should get a positive response by releasing an attractive phone that has the most advanced hardware user interface implemented for an affordable price. We are yet to know the price, but we are curious as the specifications aren’t bad at all.
Press release and more images, and a demonstration video of the User Interface after the break. You can also choose to download or embed the video.

LG KC780 first press image leak
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 29, 2008 – 7:37 pm
LG’s second 8 megapixel camera-phone, the KC780, has leaked the first press image, which shows a stylish slider lying on a professional camera lens.
The KC780 is said to the the slimmest phone in its category, which means that it should be less than 13.8mm, which is the thickness of the Samsung M8800 Pixon. Besides the capture resolution of the camera, 30fps recording is said to be enabled, as well as Quad-band GSM connectivity support.
Furthermore, our source has stated that a new LG will debut tomorrow, which will revolutionize the market for being the most affordable touchscreen phone yet.
The few first 8 megapixel camera-phones haven’t been released to the market yet, but manufacturers are taking competition seriously and announcing even more variety of devices. Variety is good as long as it does not confuse the consumer.

LG Prada II to release in November?
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 29, 2008 – 4:53 pm
LG’s slide-out full keyboard Prada version codenamed Prada II is to release in November, says Pocket-lint citing unnamed sources.
The LG Prada II is rumoured to feature a large touchscreen display as seen on the picture, WiFi, 3G, and a 5 megapixel camera. Not many details are known at the moment on the device.
The manufacturer had announced earlier this month that it had sold over 1 million LG Prada phones since its debut in March 2007.
The Prada II should be a healthy addition to LG’s portfolio of glamorous phones, its temporary specifications sound satisfactory to the current trends, and its leaked picture does seem suitable to fit in the LG mobile phone family.

LG is back with yet another 8mpix camera-phone
Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 24, 2008 – 5:55 pm
A mobile phone by the name of KC780 has surfaced on the internet as LG’s second 8 megapixel camera-phone. LG has not officially announced the mobile phone, but the device has made it’s way through FCC fillings.
The LG KC780 reportedly will feature Quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE connectivity, an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, red eye reduction, face recognition, and video recording at 30fps at an unannounced resolution. The device will additionally feature 140MB of internal memory with a microSD memory card slot for further expansion, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0.
The blurry image unveils that the phone is a slider in form factor, has a black keypad, with a white top part, and there is a d-pad for navigational purposes. It is always good to have variety of phones of advanced features, but the KC780 feels as a cheaper version of LG’s first 8 megapixel camera-phone, KC910 Renoir.
