Samsung SGH-G800 review - Multimedia
Written by Meraj Chhaya on October 11, 2008 – 11:36 pm
Besides the video editor and camera application, which are in different sections, the G800 provides a satisfactory music player and a Fun Club link almost everywhere in the phone.
The music player kept itself to simple functions, and it was to the point. No music store or podcasting applications here, as well as no visualizations. Besides the ability to shuffle and repeat, there are categories to help you organize your music, such as:
- Recently played – very much needed in phones, thumbs up to Sammy for this inclusion!
- Most played
- Artists
- Genres
- Albums
- Composers – never seen this category full, most of tracks never have this tag detailed

Review: Nokia SU-8W Bluetooth Keyboard
Written by Edward Umana on October 11, 2008 – 1:23 am
Accessories are great, don’t you think? They complement the device and expand its usability. Whether if it is a headset, or a memory card, they make powerful smartphones much better. I will bring you a review of one of the most exciting accessories to date in my opinion, the Bluetooth Portable Keyboard from Nokia, the SU-8W.
Ever since smartphones acquired computer capabilities, a complete QWERTY portable keyboard and a smartphone are a better choice for those people who just need to complete basic tasks while on-the-go such as browsing, word processing and e-mailing. Smartphones have some strong points that make them better on-the-go than a laptop, for example, smartphones can be always connected to the internet via EDGE or 3G, while most computers cannot, and also, battery life is almost thrice as effective as a laptop computer, and of course, a smartphone’s portability is a winner here.

Samsung SGH-G800 review – Software
Written by Meraj Chhaya on October 6, 2008 – 8:49 pm
Please note that all screenshots are courtesy of GSMArena
We would expect the G800 to have hidden multitasking functionality such as the K850i, to be a smartphone but still feel easy to manage, to be everything its competitors are, or even better, but it didn’t turn out to be like that. As you can see, we really missed multitasking.
The simplest things felt as they were not there, such as a screensaver that would tell us the time, for example. All the children stuff was there, just like it was on the D500, D600, and D900, I’m talking about changing the style of digits typed on the call screen, for example.

Review: LG HFB-500 Bluetooth Solar car kit
Written by Meraj Chhaya on October 1, 2008 – 11:02 am
Bluetooth car kits were known to us as simple devices that needed professional installation for them to work flawlessly. We have one in our car, the CK-1W and the only thing we see is a small controller with a single button, next to the gear lever.
Car kits are the alternative to Bluetooth headsets, if you don’t want a piece of electronics hanging from your ear, you can opt for these devices that are installed in the car, and virtually need no human interaction, besides the set-up.
The reason solar energy is getting more popular every day is due to the costs of regular energy, which actually has to be bought, such as fuel for your car, the battery for the car, or coal for a generator. Unlike the latter ones, solar energy is free (and we hope it continues that way).
