Christopher McFann, better known as "christexaport" in the blogosphere and forums such as Symbian-Freak, where the writer has contributed an invaluable amount of his knowledge and experience, has joined the PhoneReport team as a Senior Analyst.
McFann, 32, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and grew up in the telecommunications capitol of America, known as the Telecom Corridor and Silicon Prairie, Dallas-Fort Worth. He is currently living in Arlington, the centre of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where he writes and produces Hip-hop/Urban music under the pseudonym "Christopher Streetz".
McFann, a self-confessed loyalist to Nokia, has owned several of the manufacturer's phones, such as the N80, N73, N93, N95, his most favourite of all time being the N90, while his current device is the N95 8GB. The Analyst is an expert on the telecommunications industry, especially on when it concerns to smartphones, the mobile industry, technology, Symbian, and Google Android. Chris is anxiously awaiting the first Symbian-based AWS 3G device, and considering an Android powered Sony Ericsson Xperia or a HTC Touch HD as interim alternatives.
The Senior Analyst believes that "it's important for people of all ages and backgrounds to fully analyse the market. We're in an adoptive stage, where certain hardware and OS's will become perceived as industry standard. Latching onto the proper platform can be the difference between business success and technical obsolescence. The mobiles of today will be the primary PC's of tomorrow. Like Microsoft Windows, familiarity with a particular computing platform has its advantages in business, home life, and technology growth."
The PhoneReport team is delighted to have Chris aboard, and trusts that the lesson taught by our Analyst will be an important and useful one not only to the readers, but to the team as well, and we strongly believe that his input can influence, if not change the industry itself.

It is an honour for us. We also have a new writer who will join us soon, I'm pretty sure you know him very well
Hey, that's good news! I'm wondering if Chris will continue to write for Symbian Freak, or is this an exclusive arrangement?
Chris does not write for Symbian Freak, but he does provide insights on the forum, which are then collocated on the main page, at Teo's discretion. I shall ask Chris to explain to you further
