Apple iPad jailbreak 300x225 Apple iPad Jailbreak Achieved on Second Market DayCUPERTINO, USA - It is only the second day since the iPad began sales, but the hacker community has managed to jailbreak it already.

Jailbreaking is a term now commonly associated to all-things Apple. The manufacturer is famous for its software lock-down, not only in order to prevent viruses and keep the system stable, but to oblige all developers to have their creations first certified by Apple. When a device, most commonly an iPhone or iPod Touch, is jailbroken, it means that it is not locked anymore - developers may install whatever they wish, and even enable some multi-tasking.

There was no doubt the iPad would have restrictions as well, therefore the hacking community got its hand of potential bits of software that could run on the iPad, and began playing with them. When the iPad was launched, it was time for testing, and ensuring the hack worked.

There are no tools nor a guide to aid iPad users in jailbreaking their brand new device, although there should be one very soon.
