SEOUL, South Korea - Consumers shopping for a new phone this festive season will be delighted with LG's upgrade of its flagship BL40. The LG New Chocolate Christmas Edition has a 8 megapixel camera.
To differentiate it from the standard version, the new model will have golden accents in its back cover, and also comes with a voucher that in some instances may be worth up to 5 million KRW (US$4335).
The original New Chocolate had a 5 megapixel camera, which means that the camera is basically the only difference between the two models.
The device has a 4.3" touchscreen display with 345x800 pixels in resolution, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, FM transmitter, and a microSD memory card slot.
The BL40 is not a smartphone, but will feature LG's signature S-Class 3D user interface, a move that should promote LG Mobile as a brand, and also contribute to the touchscreen's intuitiveness.
According to a press release, the LG New Chocolate Christmas Edition BL40 will be launched in South Korea on the 10th of December.
