LG KM555 press imageTORONTO, Canada - The LG KM555 touchscreen phone had been recently launched in Ukraine as the KM555E. The new version will launch with Rogers in Canada, with HSDPA connectivity.

The handset has a touchscreen display with 240x400 pixels in resolution, Bluetooth, FM radio, a 3 megapixel camera with video recording capability, and a microSD memory card slot.

The KM555 measures 104.9x52.6x11.9m, weighs 90g, and can be seen as the manufacturer's latest entry-level touchscreen mobile phone and Rogers' seventh LG handset.

The phone's 950mAh battery is said to provide up to 5.5 hours of talk time and 390 hours of standby time.

LG's foray in the entry-level touchscreen market proved successful with its Cookie model, which sold millions of units in most regions of the world. The manufacturer continues to bet in the same segment, which is also attracting its rivals.
