SCHAUMBURG, USA - Motorola has made a niche for itself among Android devices with its Droid line of smartphones at Verizon, and has just announced the Milestone XT720, a non-keyboard device which relies only on the touchscreen for input.
The selling point of the device would have to be its 8 megapixel camera which can shoot HD 720p video. In addition, it is the first Google Android device in the world to pack in a Xenon flash.
The phone runs on Google Android 2.1. The display is a 3.7" capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480x854 pixels, and allows for multi-touch input.
The Android experience should be smooth on the 600MHz ARM Cortex A8 Processor. RAM is 256MB while the ROM is 512MB.
Connectivity-wise, the Milestone XT720 has 3G, along with HSDPA, Wi-Fi , GPS with a digital compass, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port. Stereo FM and micro sd card slot are also present on the device.
The Motorola Milestone XT720 comes with an 8GB memory card included in the sales package, although its release date is unknown at the moment.
