it has come to my attention that no spares are in this part of the world for this phone. my phone’s screen is no longer function on the touch screen, so i cant oprate it. where are the spares please????

DON’T BUY OMNIA HD i have i8910 got it 20days back the screen froze (hung) gave to the service center they say after 5 days that they cannot fix it for they dont have the right software for it ….. so dont buy the omnia hd atleast in INDIA

It’s a wonderful phone–but when is it coming to the USA,I have been waiting a long time for it to come here. Samsung does not have it on their USA website, and nobody can tell me when it will come here.

its a nice phone but it lacks something like a “DVB-H” so everyone can enjoy the full performance of the phone specially the HD as they claim it. wish they also use the wi-fi to sync to a computer so no one will ever go to repair center for their phone’s jack to be repair like the usb or anything that they’ve used to sync to their computer. wish this things pop to their mind. we all want a nice phone and when we want it we earn money to buy that thing and it doesnt cost only a dime to purchase that, it cost a lot of money. its also an investment so give people what they deserve. i know its your marketing startegy but please give us what we need.

Regarding the lack of a Camera Cover – Samsung knows that some covers can fail and get jammed on some of their earlier model phones, so were reluctant to add this to a high-end phone.

I use a screen protector that covers the outside / inside screen as well as the camera lens on the underside of my Nokia E90, and they had never falled off or got scratched.

You can easily order these from Hong Kong via eBay when any new phone launches, like I did for mine. They typically don't cost much either and are a fantastic investment. When I eventually sell my E90, it will look like brand new when the screen covers are removed / replaced for Sale.

An excellent phone by the review, but interesting to note there is no mention on any review sites about call quality, and also volume for eg: Ringtones. Some phones have appaling call quality, and inadequate volume for ringtones.

For those who complain about it's lack of MultiTouch, well Apple have the patents on that so the only way this can be enabled on a phone like this (remember, Capacitive Touchscreens DO support MultiTouch – like the iPhone), is for a 3rd-Party mod program to enable this – and it has been done for some other phones already.

As for the Battery life – that remains to be seen. Mobile Phone manufacturers never show the exact conditions of testing this that they used, but if it lasts for around 3 days with reasonable use (like my Nokia E90) then that would be excellent.

In all, I'm definately looking forward to ordering one. A big step forward, Samsung… Well done!
