RICHARDSON, USA - Samsung Mobile has announced the release of the Samsung Stunt (SCH-r100), now available at MetroPCs.
The lack of features, such as a camera, makes the aim of this device to hit the market of cheap phones for simple use or for emergencies.
As it is executed in the monoblock form factor, the design bases on a black body with the detail of a blue trim bar. Its highlighting characteristics are the easy-to-use interface, and a set of MetroPCs applications, such as MetroWEB Internet Access, Unlimited E-mail, MetroBACKUP, MyMetro Account Manager and Metro 411 Directory Assistance.
In addition to the capability of keeping users connected while on-the-go with the icon carousel (One Touch Messaging, One Touch Speakerphone and One Touch Calendar), the Stunt has a 1.7" CSTN display with 128x160 pixels in resolution, Bluetooth, SMS, MMS, threaded text messaging , speakerphone and voice commands.
Continuing with its dimensions, the Stunt measures 1.7”x0.54”x4.2” and it weighs 2.6 ounces. Capable of 3.3 hours of talk-time and up to 200 hours on stand-by, the device also supports CDMA 800MHz/PCS 1900MHz, and AWS 1700/2100 MHz network bands.
The Samsung Stunt is priced at US$79 on prepaid.
