The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic entered sales late November 2008, and has already sold over three million units. The capacitive screens will be installed in a new batch comprising of two million units, to be shipped from either May or June.

Capacitive screens are known to be more "finger-friendly", which is what attracts most consumers. Resistive screens are preferable if a stylus is going to be used. The capacitive multi-touch screen was one of Apple's biggest weapon in its iPhone market strategy.

Upcoming devices, such as the Nokia N97, are also set to use capactive touchscreens.
