We've managed to get our hands-on the Nokia N79, the device I truly hated back then, when we saw the press images being released onto the public, after many leaks. My opinion has completely changed: the N79 doesn't look that bad after all, it's just not photogenic.
The over-sized d-pad actually felt nice to the fingers while the parts that were sticking out from the cover gave it a sense of originality that is missing from Nokia's phones. The best part of the design is that it's not glossy, unlike most of the new NSeries phones.
The memory card slot was pretty easy to open and close, no need for fingernails, and the camera cover was a compact one, just like the one in the Nokia N85.
The phone is light, 97g, and feels good to the hand. The keypad is divided only horizontally, but typing is comfortable. Unfortunately we weren't able to have a full review, but we've got few pictures after the break.
