QStarDict is a Qt-based international dictionary for Maemo 5-powered smartphone, Nokia N900.

The international dictionary includes complete support for StarDict dictionaries which should bring users an easy reference base for all word-checking needs. Another interesting feature is the support for hyperlinks in the translations which allow users to cross-reference words and even go to external links if need be.

The app supports minimizing to the system tray and can be used for on-the-spot translations anywhere in the interface. It also allows users to install plugins, which can significantly extend the functionality of the software. After installing the audio modules, the application brings the possibility of pronouncing translated words, which can significantly helpful for non-native speakers.

Using the openly available StarDict dictionary files, the software brings to the user a front-end for ever improving dictionary files. We believe that this software holds great promise and will be highly useful to all sorts of users.
