JOHANNESBURG, South Africa and SINGAPORE, Singapore - Sushant Ghargi has joined PhoneReport as an international correspondent. Ghargi will report from Singapore on telecommunications news, and will also weekly review the top software applications for mobile phones.
PhoneReport's newest international correspondent shows a great interest in gadgets, and sustainable and green technologies. He boasts of experience acquired from blogging at the Nokia 5800 Blog, a member of the PhoneReport Communities.
Ghargi has owned a wide range of phones, including the Nokia 3310, Samsung R220, Nokia 1100, Nokia 2600, Nokia 6610, Sony Ericsson T610, Sony Ericsson Z550i, Sony Ericsson W700i, Nokia 5700 and Nokia 5800, the latter which he currently owns.
The research work conducted by Ghargi involves Wi-Fi, GPS, and GSM data connections for data communication between servers at the office and stations at the site, which is a symbol of his understanding of these technologies. He believes that the telecommunications industry is "one of the most rapidly evolving industries in business today", and he dreams "of a day when every person in a third world country is able to access internet from their cell phones".
The 24-year-old journalist has a BTech in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka Suratkal in India, where he is originally from, and a MS in Environmental Science and Engineering from a joint partnership between the Stanford University and the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
