SEOUL, South Korea - While the market leader has been stealing the headlines with its annual event Nokia World, close competitor Samsung has announced a gamut of devices in several markets. The Korean giant which has already released an impressive number of devices this year, continues to announce devices by the handful.

While smartphones and entry-level devices have been getting all the attention from Samsung for most part of this year, the the manufacturer is now concentrating on mid-level and uber high-level segment this time around.

Samsung B3310

Sporting one of the most intriguing designs, the Samsung B3310 was announced in France where it is expected to be available by mid September. The QWERTY slider phone is equipped with a 2" screen with  a resolution of 240x320 pixels, quadband GSM/EDGE connectivity (850/900/1800/1900MHz), a 2 megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity, 43MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for memory expansion. The texting device also provides one step access to top social networking websites Facebook and MySpace.

Pricing of this device is not known yet.

Samsung T659

The Samsung T659 is a stylish slider from the world's second largest manufacturer. The device which was earlier codenamed Scarlet features the following specifications: a 262K-colours TFT display, quadband GSM along with GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera capable of video recording, A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity, and microSD memory card slot for memory expansion.

The budget-minded device also features MP3 player,  pre-loaded games and applications running on a proprietory Samsung OS.

Pricing and availability of this device is yet to be made public by Samsung.

Samsung Armani W820/W8200

Targeting the uber luxury segment is the Giorgio Armani-branded Samsung device W820/W8200, which was first spotted in Korea where it is first expected to be released. The gold-rimmed device features a  3.1" AMOLED touchscreen display with WVGA resolution, HSDPA and T-DMB connectivity, and a 5 megapixel camera capable of video recording.

While pricing of this device is yet to be known, it can be expected to be placed at the upper luxury segment.

While Samsung has left no stone unturned in its handset division, market performance of these latest models from Samsung remains to be seen.
