GLOBAL - Chinese case manufacturer Ultra-Case has added a Swarovski-covered iPhone back cover to its extensive decorative-phone-housing portfolio.

Ultra-Case is known for covering iPhone cases in unusual materials, such as different types of fabric, as well as carved leather, but a jewel-covered housing is its first.

The design was based on an idea by in-house designer Joey, who wished to add a "royal feeling with glamorous design in Ultra Case".

The Luxury Edition Royal Crown cover has a heart-shaped artificial crystal, surrounded by Swarovski crystals. The gold on the cover, fortunately for those who can't afford it, is not real, but a colour which should contribute to the iPhone's expensive look.

Apple does not allow the changing of the iPhone's housing, therefore Ultra-Case has built its accessories such as that they snap on the device.

The case costs US$179.99, and is available online, as well as at several retailers around the globe.
