Sony Ericsson updateSTOCKHOLM, Sweden - After several complaints and having a retailer pulling out stocks of a handset, Sony Ericsson releases software updates for three of its mobile phones: Satio, Aino and Yari.

The Sony Ericsson Satio smartphone was launched with great expectation from consumers: it packed a 12 megapixel camera, among other high-end features. The Carphone Warehouse pulled stocks of the phone from its shelves after many users complained of software problems. Last week, the manufacturer released the R1CA037 update, which is said to fix issues, but it is not available from all operators, according to the latest report. The retailer resumed sales of the handset once the patch was applied.

The software updates for the Aino and the Yari were not stability fixes, but rather improvements: both Aino and Yari users will now enjoy a longer lasting battery, as well as improved GPS, WLAN and Bluetooth. The update for the Sony Ericsson Aino will pre-install the game Loco Roco, while the update for the Sony Ericsson Yari will pre-install the handsfree games Snowboard Rush and Hamster Hustle. For further gaming needs, users will be able to access an improved games store.
