Sony Ericsson Xperia PurenessNEW YORK, USA - The hyped Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness has been available from Monday at Saks Fifth Avenue’s online store and at Sony VIP Shopping service in the US. The price is a recession-doubtful US$990.

The device introduces the novelty of a transparent LCD screen, where gives the possibility of seeing through the screen. Apart from that, the features are not as dazzling as the screen is, even more they are basic. The internal memory is 88MB up to 2GB, adding an external memory card, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, quadband GSM radio, FM radio on-board, 3G connectivity with HSDPA support, NetFront Web Browser and the Sony Ericsson FastPort.

Coming along, the keys only light up when touched, and when receiving message or calls the device illuminates.

It measures 102x43x13mm and weighs only 70 grams.  Up to 3.5 hours (UTMS/HSPA), 8.5 hours (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) of talk-time, and a stand-by time of 350 hours is possible on this device.

The lack of features such as GPS, Wi-Fi, etc., is due to the aim of this device - to hit the high-end all-about-design market. This is the manufacturer's first handset for this market, coming with a simplistic design. Further, the Pureness comes with a 24-hour concierge service provided by Quintessentially for all "lifestyle requests" available in cities all around the world.
