The long-awaited Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is scheduled to be released in Europe on the 13th of October, a date which coincides with the upcoming launch of the HTC Touch Pro and matches the UK network 3's release date of Q4, as reported by SMS Text News.

The Xperia X1 has a 3" display with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution, 400 MB internal memory, 256MB RAM, 512MB storage memory, runs on a Qualcomm MSM7200 528MHz processor, has HSDPA 7.2mbps on the connectivity side, as well as WLAN and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and built-in A-GPS. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera, an acceleremoter (motion sensor), and the device runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
