jobs keynote Steve Jobs Temporarily Quits amid Health IssuesApple CEO Steve Jobs has sent a message to all Apple employees, in which he mentioned his health problems and recalls the message he sent last week about his hormonal disease. He now revealed to the general public that he will take a medical leave on absence from this moment, until June.

There have been many rumors going on around Jobs' health, but finally it is being confirmed by the CEO himself. Blogs have spoken about the possibility of a cancer return, digestive problems, while others  just say that this is the end of Jobs' age.

Jobs has been seen a great leader for many years for both investors and enthusiasts, as he and his team have taken Apple to great heights with successful products such as the iPhone, the iMac, the iPod, among others.

Apple waited for almost 5 months to speak about the CEO's decision, leaving the company without a CEO, since Jobs kept a low profile during that time.

This is not the first time Jobs had to temporarily leave his position, since he once had to leave temporarily to have pancreas surgery, even though there have been many rumors and opinions about this topic, only time will tell what the future of Apple's CEO will be.

Press release after the break.

Apple Media Advisory

Apple CEO Steve Jobs today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

Team,

I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.

In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for Apple’s day to day operations, and I know he and the rest of the executive management team will do a great job. As CEO, I plan to remain involved in major strategic decisions while I am out. Our board of directors fully supports this plan.

I look forward to seeing all of you this summer.

Steve

It's really kind of weird what's going on with Steve. I don't understand it, but feel badly for the guy.
