AT&T will retail the Pantech C630 for US$49 only, BetaNews reports. The cheap 3G candybar phone based on Symbian was unveiled last Friday night at a press event.
The Pantech C630 carries a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 3G, and Advanced GSM connectivity, it will support microSD memory cards, provide email, Internet Yellow Pages, instant messaging, and AT&T's Video Exchange and Video Sharing. The low-cost handset will incorporate a small 1.76" display with 176x220 pixels of resolution.
The C630 will hardly be any market-winner, but it will rather target those who need fast communication, or complex devices, at a cheaper price.
