GPS for the first Apple iPhone

In case you cannot wait for the Apple iPhone 3G, you can already get GPS on your current Apple iPhone. This involves the following products:

  • iPhone GPS cable
  • Holux M1000b module
  • Software that interacts with Google Maps
  • And of course, an iPhone. But, it has to be jailbroken

3G iPhone to support 42mbps

An unnamed executive at Australia’s Telstra has leaked that the upcoming Apple iPhone 3G will support Evolved HSPA at 42mbps. This is rather strange as the first iPhone didn’t even have 3G, and the second will have a future type of connectivity which is still in testing phase.

3G iPhone release date 9th June?

The 3G iPhone might be unveiled at the Worldwide Developer Conference on the 9th of June, unlikely, but according to rumours, it will happen.

Lately we had many networks announcing the iPhone to retail in the countries they operate, this can be the iPhone 3G, or they might just continue retailing the original iPhone, one thing is for sure: there was a iPhone shortage some time ago, and that might be a sign for a 3G version, or simply a product reallocation.

Apple iPhone available in Switzerland

Not only Swisscom is confirming to coming of the Apple iPhone to their network, but they’ve already opened registration. This registration is either for news or for a device booking.
