The LG E300 notebook with HSDPA was released in South Africa last week Thursday, 31st of July. The LG E300 had been available from last year, but the company included HSDPA connectivity up to 7.2mbps in this version of the notebook. The only reason we are covering it at PhoneReport is that the notebook contains a connectivity feature that is usually implemented on mobile phones.
The E300 can be customized with a Celeron® 540, 1MB L2 Cache, 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB or a Core™2 Duo T7300, 4MB L2 Cache, 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB. It runs on the ATI RS600ME Chipset which supports up to 4GB RAM DDR2 667MHz. There is a 13.3″ display with WXGA (1280×800) resolution and Fine Bright Technology. Besides the HSDPA connectivity, the device features 802.11b/g Wireless LAN supported by a Dual Hexa-band Antenna. It also features 10/100MB Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. A 1.3 megapixel LG Smart Cam is built-in the notebook, and the graphics are powered by a ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics card with an HDMI output port. To compliment the bundle, there is a also a DVD Super Multi Dual Layer drive and a 250GB SATA hard drive with 5400rpm and HDD Security.
Press release after the break.
