HTC is on a mission to renew the entire Touch line in order to offer more variety of features, colours, and obviously, price to its consumers.
Both the Touch 3G and Touch Viva were leaked a while ago, you might remember Touch Viva by its codename Opal.
The HTC Touch 3G has Quad-band EDGE coverage, which means it will work almost anywhere in the the world, there is HSDPA at 7.2mbps, a 2.8" display with QVGA resolution (240x320 pixels), a 3.2 megapixel camera, 256MB of internal memory, 192MB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, built-in A-GPS, battery capacity of 1100mAh, which is quite low, microSD memory card support, a Qualcomm® MSM7225™ 528 MHz Processor and the device runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 with TouchFLO 3D user interface.
The HTC Touch Viva also has Quad-band EDGE coverage, no 3G, a 2.8" display with QVGA resolution (240x320 pixels), a 2 megapixel camera which points out that this might be quite a cheap Touch, 256MB of internal memory but only 128MB of RAM, there is Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, WiFi b/g unlike the Touch 3G, the same battery capacity, a TI OMAP 850 processor that runs at 201 MHz, and the same Operating System and user interface as the previous phone.
Full press release after the break.
