iPhone 3G updates for Portugal
Written by Meraj Chhaya on July 4, 2008 – 12:17 am
The iPhone 3G pre-orders have been selling out, and when I went to check with some companies, I noted something strange. In Portugal, with Optimus you can get the iPhone 3G 8GB and 16GB. The 16GB version can be selected black or white, but the 8GB doesn't have colour selection, and a quick check on iPhone's technical specifications page confirms that, it will only retail in the black colour. Optimus has gone
to their second selling phase, there are no numbers, but it should be high. To pre-order with Optimus, you will need to pay 50€ which will confirm your device, according to their press release. Furthermore, Mobile Number Portability is guaranteed, this means that you can keep any number out of the network and still buy the iPhone 3G with them, in other words, buy it in prepaid, without any contracts.
Vodafone Portugal is also allowing pre-orders, but there you cannot select any specification, but they were kind enough to leave a link for the 360 degree view of both white and black iPhone 3G.

Pre-order iPhone 3G on Vodacom (South Africa)
Written by Meraj Chhaya on June 27, 2008 – 6:01 pm
I was checking my balance on Vodacom's website when I noticed this campaign for the iPhone 3G. Really clever marketing plan, they are already taking pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 3G here in South Africa, and even differentiating between contracts. But one thing people didn't know: the Apple iPhone 3G might be available in prepaid, that means, no contracts.
