lg-kp500-press-image-5-266x300 LG introduces entry-level touchscreen phoneLG Electronics has introduced the KP500, an affordable mobile phone with a touchscreen display. The company's success has persuaded the release of touchscreen-bearing phones into every level of the mobile market.

The KP500 will be a slim-profiled (106.5 x 55.4 x 11.9 mm) and lightweight device (89g) and will come in the Vandyke brown, Anodizing silver, and Elegant gold colours. The phone will feature a 3" touchscreen display with 240x400 pixels of resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 39 languages, on-screen QWERTY keyboard, accelerometer (motion sensor), Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.

LG is betting in the market where all manufacturers should be betting right now, but none of them does. The manufacturer should get a positive response by releasing an attractive phone that has the most advanced hardware user interface implemented for an affordable price. We are yet to know the price, but we are curious as the specifications aren't bad at all.

Press release and more images, and a demonstration video of the User Interface after the break. You can also choose to download or embed the video.
