LG KS360 Chatterbox arrives in South Africa
Written by Meraj Chhaya on November 10, 2008 – 5:37 pm
The LG KS360 Chatterbox is a beloved device amongst PhoneReport’s younger audience, comments suggest. The affordable QWERTY-keyboard-containing device has arrived in South Africa, and will retail for a price of R1 800.
The KS360 features a 2 megapixel camera, a small 2.4″ display with QVGA resolution (240×320 pixels), 15MB only of built-in memory, with support for a microSD memory card, and a battery with 800mAh of capacity that might be seen as too little, although it provides 5 hours of talk time.
The phone is well-targeted to the young ones by including MXit, Facebook, and MySpace shortcuts in its menu. The toy-ish look of the phone doesn’t reduce the functionality. Simplicity is the key-feature of the KS360, the phone is no smartphone, but it supports Java applications and games. Threaded SMS and touchscreen dialling complete the objective of LG’s latest bet in the South African market.
Press release after the break.

LG KS360 - Is it a toy?
Written by Meraj Chhaya on June 19, 2008 – 6:49 pm
It’s not just the weird looks, but the specifications are just weird. You would expect a QWERTY phone to be directed to business phones, but ok, let’s say that this phone has such a keyboard for teenagers. But still a full keyboard should atleast have a touchscreen, a better camera, 3G, and it shouldn’t look like a toy!
Specifications after the jump.
