As posted earlier, Nokia hosted a party last night in Lisbon, where it showcased XpressMusic devices and their abilities. A peculiar site were the gigantic themed headphones.

Unfortunately none of them will be commercially manufactured, but the working concepts did look quite exotic and very original.

Nokia began a competition today where you can design your own funky headphone, and the five winning concepts will be made functional and showcased at Nokia flagship stores.

Nokia is currently holding a a music related event at the moment in Lisbon, Portugal. PhoneReport correspondents were not able to cover the event live as they were absent for religious motives, but we will update you as we receive more media and more information. What we can tell you right now is that there were a series of funky headphones that you would try on, such as the ones seen in the invitation.

The headphones marketed by Nokia come by the names Pop Princess, White Tiger, and Jet Pipes. The event in focused on XpressMusic devices. The press release, in Portuguese, states that the audience will be able to use the provided phones to vote for the tracks they want the DJ to play, as well as create and share playlists. The audience will also be given make-up according to what headphone they have chosen.
