After Nokia’s release of four phones into the entry-level market, Samsung leaked three of these devices, and it seems that it happened at the same event the Samsung L870, U800, and i900 were spotted.

Two of these phones, namely the Samsung B510 and B300, have CSTN displays, which are cheap displays with lower image quality and response rate that LCD TFT.

Samsung L870 runs on S60

Samsung L870 live pic leak

S60 on Samsung is something still small, we don’t see many adverts or any type of marketing of the Nokia platform on Samsung phones. I’d also be ashamed of carrying my rival’s name in heart, but Samsung could increase revenue by marketing it like it does to it’s Windows Mobile smartphones.
In an event in Holland, the phone was released containing the following features: Read more »

Nokia E52 (Photoshop fake)

Written by Meraj Chhaya on March 28, 2008 – 10:38 pm

To the average user it might look real, and in a smaller resolution it might even deceive a mobile phone blogger, but a simple inspection can point out the mistakes here.

The keypad for once is really too big, you don’t find those in any Nokia slider, and even if you did, the way it fits the image doesn’t make sense somehow. Another little detail was the top of the front panel slider, which is too rounded and the shades don’t look realistic. Nevertheless it was a great try, and if we played along, it would make a good gossip.

New NSeries in the making?

Written by Meraj Chhaya on March 27, 2008 – 6:26 pm

This is truly for us to guess, as we have no clue whatsoever what the new device compromises of, but according to Cybette at her Jaiku, she received a prototype, and she is so excited about it, that she actually told (or teased) us.
If you guys didn’t know, Cybette, or Carol Chen is the Senior Integration Engineer at Nokia, so the last thing this should be is a fake rumour. Carol wrote that "it’s NXX on the spec sheet in front of me and N00 on the proto" which tells us that it cannot be a N96, but a new unreleased model.

Most of us wondered if it was a Touch UI device, which wasn’t fully answered, but the tip makes me believe that it is the new generation of S60 phones. "as for touch, it’s a touchy subject, so i will not touch it," wrote Carol.

What we can really do is only speculate…

Motorola Z9 specifications leak

gsmarena004pi1 Motorola Z9 specifications leak

We have been receiving many updates of new Motorola handsets, as not many revolutionary devices were shown at Mobile World Congress last month. The Z9 was known for a long time, and according to the specifications, it doesn’t feature any outstanding component. The phone is however unannounced, but GSM Arena has a leaflet where it got all the information from.

The Z9 portrays a 2.4" QVGA display, 45MB internal memory and a microSD slot, a poor 2 megapixel camera, and CrystalTalk technology for noise reduction during calls.

The only thing saving this phone might be the music function, the dedicated keys are on the top panel of the slider. On the leaflet there was a 3G version and an EDGE version, but the final product should have 3G, which is still far from the current HSDPA networks.

According to the source, there will be AGPS, but not an actual GPS receiver. I find this rather odd, perhaps it’s wrong information, or Motorola felt really lazy when building this phone.
