Written by Meraj Chhaya on September 1, 2008 – 12:11 am
The K850i is the best phone that we’ve reviewed from this manufacturer. With a 5 megapixel camera with Autofocus, Xenon flash, 3x LED flash, electronic camera lens cover, HSDPA, Bluetooth, multitasking software, and an accelerometer (motion sensor,) we were curious to see how it handled. Now that we had the opportunity to put the K850i to the test, go ahead and read our reaction and verdict, because not all glitters is gold (only sometimes).

Sony Ericsson K850i review - Conclusion & Pics
Written by Meraj Chhaya on August 30, 2008 – 6:04 pm
The Sony Ericsson K850i’s behaviour was way above my expectations. It was the smartphone I needed, but the only thing missing unfortunately was the GPS, which nowadays everyone is used to. I don’t drive, but usually when I have to attend events, which do happen quite often, the GPS is extremely handy.
The small details on the K850i in terms of aesthetics are a huge advantage for the phone, as they are quite innovative, because they are different to every other phone.

Sony Ericsson K850i Cybershot review – Software
Written by Meraj Chhaya on August 7, 2008 – 1:26 am
What impressed me most on the K850i’s software is that it multitasks. It doesn’t run on a smartphone Operating System, but Sony Ericsson endeavoured to make its Cybershot different to every other camera-feature-only phone by implementing some decent software. Not that it beats the Nokia N82, but then again, the N82 is a fully-fledged smartphone, which leads us to the discussion of what really is a smartphone. Is it just a device that multitasks? Is it a device that provides internal APIs and allows its use? Or is the K850i a smartphone? We will not consider it a smartphone in our review, but will rather just treat as a non-smartphone, camera-feature-only phone.

Sony Ericsson K850i review – Presentation
Written by Meraj Chhaya on August 5, 2008 – 9:28 pm
The Sony Ericsson K850i has one of the most attractive designs we’ve ever seen, with a lot of details and sleek colours. The box layout and presentation are also worth to notice and contribute to the general design of this device.
The camera is obviously the main focus of the K850i, so a design was necessary so that the phone resembled a camera, but at the same time looked as a a powerful multimedia phone. This affected placement of ports and keys. The K850i surely had more than we expected, and in this case, you can judge a book by its cover, just because the cover is wonderful.
Read on as we take you on a journey exploring the K850i’s presentation.
