Virgin Mobile has partenered up with Sony Ericsson, Edgars, and MTV Base to bring its South African consumers an event focused on music, and according to the press invite, "the South African music landscape is set to hot up".

Road to V had been in the UK previously as a talent search contest, and now it will hit South Africa. We won't be at the event, as it doesn't have anything to do with mobile phones, but there's another event on Thursday, which we will inform you about tomorrow.

That’s right, thanks to Virgin Mobile, the biggest event on the global festival calendar is coming to South Africa!
