MOSCOW, Russia - Vobis Computer may have had positive returns with its first Google Android smartphone, as it is planning on launching a second one, named HighScreen Zeus.
The HighScreen Zeus has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, jointly with a 3.2" touchscreen display with 240x400 pixels in resolution.
The device also has quadband GSM and single band HSPA connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
The Google Android operating system on the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU running at 528MHz, and supported by 256MB of RAM.
A 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, a 3.5mm audio jack, and microSD memory card support are the features which complete the Zeus, which weighs a heavy 125g and measures 110x5x15.1mm.
A 1010mAh battery is said to provide 480 minutes of talk time in GSM and 400 hours of standby time in the same connectivity band.
Lastly, the Zeus' GPS software will be provided by Intrinsyc, with Navteq maps. The device is said to cost 13 980 Rubles (US$486), and the release date is unknown as of yet.
