Our review of the best 5 megapixel camera phones demonstrated to us and to the readers that there isn't one single phone that beats every other. Like all things in life, electronics have the same issues in terms of specifications. One might be good here, but there, it's weak.
The same will apply to the upcoming 8 megapixel camera phones. In the line-up we face the Samsung INNOV8, the Sony Ericsson C905, LG KC910 Renoir, LG KC780, and Samsung Pixon. LG for some reason is lately the first to have high-resolution camera phones in the market, LG, few years ago, released the first 5 megapixel camera phone in the global market.
This time it was Sony Ericsson that came up with the first in its category. We have already reviewed Sony Ericsson phones, Samsung phones, and obviously Nokia phones. We haven't touched the LG subject yet, although we have a review coming up. Will LG this time take over the market? Will its new cheap-touchscreen-phone help the company rise up to the likes of Nokia? We certainly can't wait for a review on the Renoir or the KC780, not that we don't want to touch the other phones, but LG's bet in the market with two 8 megapixel camera phones sounds promising.
Phones4u points out that the KC910 will be available by mid-October, the date many other manufacturers were looking to target, but seem to have missed, based on the lack of information available.
